BRIEF SKETCH ON THE LIFE OF HIS EMINENCE HAZRAT MAWLANA MOHAMMAD ABDUL ALEEM
SIDDIQUI QADRI AL MADANI (Rehmatullah Alaihi)

His
Eminence Hazrat Mawlana Mohammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui Qadri [RA] Said:
"My
aim is to deliver to humanity the message of hope."
Birth,
Early Age and Education:
Hazrat Mawlana Mohammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui Qadri Al Madani [Ra] was born on
the 15th Ramadhan 1310 Hijri [3rd April 1892] at Meerut,
in UP, India. His father Hazrat Mawlana Abdul Hakim Siddiqui Qadri [RA] was not
only a great Aaleem but also a high class Poet, an eminent Sufi and a Spiritual
illumined man of high respect, a descendent of the first Caliph of Islam Hazrat
Abu Bakr Siddique [RA]. His mother was a deeply Pious Lady. At the time of the
Birth of His Eminence the famous Ambassador of Islam Hazrat Syed Jamaluddin Al
Afghani, a decendent of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [SAW] was about to leave this
world, the atmosphere in which His Eminence was born was saturated with
Spirituality on every side with learning. At the age of three years His Eminence
started his education and finished the recitation of the Holy Qura’an at the
age of four years and ten months at the Madrassa Islamia Arabia in Meerut. His
father taught him Ourdou, Persian, Arabic and Literature, at the age of nine
years, His Eminence delivered His first public speech of 90 minutes at the Jama
Musjid of Meerut, His father passed away when He was 12 years old. The task of
imparting Spiritual training then devolved on His brother in law Qazi
Intezamuddin and His elder brother Hazrat Mawlana Shah Ahmad Mukhtar Siddiqui.
After completion of His training, His Eminence received the Ijaaza in several
great Sufi orders, Qaderia, Nakhshbandia, Chistiya, Sohrwardia, At the age of 16
years, He obtained his degree in Islamic Theology with distinction,
Matriculation Certificate in 1913, He joined the Divisional College of Meerut
for Graduation and He studied modern subjects and laws. He continued advanced
Islamic Studies under the guidance of the Great Islamic Scholar Imam-e-Ahle
Sunnat Mawlana Shah Ahmad Raza Khan Faazile Bareily [RA] Whom His Eminence
became one of His Valuable Khalifa; He received Ijaaza of the Qaderia Razvia
order. His Eminence acquired further knowledge in Quranic exegeus, Hadith,
Tassawwuf and the 4 Schools of Islamic Laws at Macca and Madina under the care
of some eminenent Ulemas such as Sheik Ahmad Ash-Shams of Morocco, Sheik As-Sennua
of Libya, Mawlana Abdul Baqi of Ferrangi Mahal at Madina, His Eminence also
studied the Arabian System of Medicine which in later years help Him in serving
ailing humanity in many Countries.
Hajj and serving humanity as a Roving Ambassador:
His
Eminence Hazrat Mawlana Mohammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui performed His first Hajj
in 1919, during which He had contact with Muslim Leaders from all over the
world. Through these contacts He got support from all of them to help Him in His
move for the elimination of the unjust imposition of Hajj Tax. It was then that
Saudi Government his moral force and reduced the Hajj Tax.
With
the yearning of His heart to serve humanity, His Eminence traveled for more than
30 years with that Sacred Aim, from town to town, country to country, continent
to continent, He brought the Message of Hope to thousands including skeptics and
atheists, His conquered the hearts of Muslims throughout the world who became
his disciples, His Prayers have healed, by Allah’s command, a large number of
sufferers gripped seemingly by incurable ailments. His visits and Spiritual
magnetism had given new impetus everywhere to the Religious life and Social
conscience of people. His Eminence had risen high in world’s esteem as a
master orator. He was reputed for keeping large audiences spellbound in pindrop
silence. Eminent personalities, Leaders, Statesman of different Religion admired
His Spiritual achievements and seeked guidance from Him, His Messages changed
Thousands of youngsters to start living a lives of Purity and Spirituality. His
Eminence’s message of Islam made an Spiritual revival which led Him to the
following Countries. Saudi Arabia, Burma, Malaya, Indonesia, Siam, Indo China,
China, Japan, Ceylon, Mauritius, Reunion, Madagascar, Uganda, Egypt, Palestine,
Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Singapore and many other Countries.
In
the wake of his visits around the world have sprung up Orphanages for helpless
youths, Infirmaries for the destitute, Hospitals for the suffering humanity,
Educational Institutions for the propagation of knowledge, Spiritual assemblies
for the dissemination of Spiritual dicipline, Mosques, Missionary Societies for
the diffusion of Devine Message, Libraries for the preservations of man’s
intellectual heritage, Inter Religious Organizations for consolidation of
religious forces against onslaught of materialism and atheism, Organization of
Ulemas for the coordination of Islamic Religious forces, Muslim Youth Brigade,
Muslim Volunteer Corps, Muslim Scout Corps for Physical and Moral discipline for
the Youth. His Eminence also encourage publication of many Magazines such as
Muslim Digest, His Eminence also wrote several Books on different topics Such as
Elementary and Teachings of Islam, Women and their status in Islam, The
Universal Teacher, The forgotten path of knowledge etc.
Before
His Eminence started his World Tour as a Roving Ambassador, His doctor had
advised Him for a complete rest due to eyes problems, but His Eminence said to
His doctor that “My body is a trust from Allah and is meant to be exhausted in
Allah’s way. How can I suspend my activity even for one day for consideration
of bodily comfort or longer life?
Five
unforgotten visits of His Eminence in Mauritius.
His
Eminence Hazrat Mawlana Mohammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui [RA] made five visits in
Mauritius during His World Tour, In the year of 1928, brother Marhoom Abdul
Razack Mohammed met His Eminence in Colombo, he was impressed by His
Eminence’s work that he invited His Eminence to Visit Mauritius and to give
His blessings to Muslims of the Country which His Eminence accepted without
hesitation. During the month of December 1928 His Eminence arrived in Mauritius
at the Port-Louis Harbour where thousands of Mauritians were waiting to receive
Him. His Eminence’s lecture throughout the Island worked wonders; He contacted
all the Muslim Societies to deliver to them the Message of Islam. By his Waez He
became so popular that even non-Muslims were attracted to Him and consequently
several of them embraced Islam. His presence revived the dormant Religious
observances of the population. His Eminence created the Hizbullah this step was
taken to stabilize Islamic revival in the Country.
On
the 26th September 1931 His Eminence paid His second Visit in the
Country on demand of several Muslim leaders, this demand was made to His
Eminence was to solve some Muslim financial problems against the authority,
after studying the situation His Eminence presented the case accordingly and
obtained the government’s helping hand for the Muslims as well as for other
communities, His Eminence then created the Mauritius Muslim Orphanage and
received grant-in-aid from the Central Government. During this second Visit His
Eminence made several Waez around the Island, apart of Waez he made Majhlis for
Moharram which was relayed by the Radio Service, He establish the
Halqua-e-Qaderia-Ishaat-e-Islam, Construction of new Mosques also were noted.
On
The 30th March 1939, His Eminence made His third Visit, Some of His Speeches was
relayed by the Radio Service from the Jhummah-Mosque of Port-Louis, and His
Eminence then establishes the Islamic Waqf Law and Islamic Law of Marriages,
Divorce and Inheritance for Muslims. To present this to the authority a United
Front was necessary, His Eminence organized the First Eid-E-Meelad-Un-Nabi [saw]
on the 3rd May 1939, this celebration was a blessing for Muslim in
Mauritius, the assistance at Taher Bagh made History, The English Governor, Sir
Bede Clifford who attended the function, congratulated His Eminence for His
marvelous influence in bringing about Muslim Solidarity. The Muslim Unity Board
composed of Society’s Presidents and Mutawallis was set up which helped in the
promulgation of the Waqf Ordinance. During this Visit His Eminence created the
Muslim infirmary.
His
Eminence arrived in Mauritius aboard the KLM plane for His forth Visit in the
Island in the year 1949, This International Servant of Allah was received with
the greatest enthusiasm as the Muslims of Mauritius loved him from the bottom of
their hearts, well known Newspaper Advance, Cerneen and Le Mauricien wished
welcome to His Eminence, Several articles was written on His Eminence. An
Inter-Religious Organization was created by His Eminence to bring human
brotherhood and inter-communal goodwill in the Island, this step was well
appreciated by all communities, a series of Waez was organized
On
different topics, His Eminence never refused to meet all those wishing to meet
Him, His advised was taken with high respect, for Muslims His Eminence advised
them to be strictly regular in their daily five Prayers, for Non Muslim he
advised them to wake up early in the morning, to take bath, to wear clean dress
and seek Guidance to the right path from God. His Eminence never considers the
Faith, Cast, and Religion of those who came to seek Spiritual favors from Him.
His
Eminence came to Mauritius for the fifth and last time in the year 1953, He
stayed at 66 la Croix street, Curepipe Road at the residence of Marhoom Idriss
Peeroo, The Dar-Ul-Uloom Aleemeea was established on the 18th June
1953, during one of His Waez he declared that this was His last Tour in
Mauritius, He made an appeal for Peace, Unity, and to preserved all established
institutions. His Eminence left Mauritius for performing His last Hajj, after
having accomplished Hajj, He paid his last Visit to the Holy Prophet’s
Rawza-e-Mubaarak in Madina, On the 22nd August 1954,(22nd
Zilhijja) His eminence left this World for the hereafter, His Rawza-e-Mubaarak
is in the graveyard of Madina Jannat-ul-Baqi, very near to the Rawza-e-Mubaarak
of Ummul Mouhminine Hazrat Aisha Siddiqua [RA].
During
these five Visits Hazrat Mawlana Mohammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui [RA] traced the
right path for Muslims of Mauritius, at that time Deobandis, Wahabies,
propagated their Mission around the World, but in Mauritius there was only
Muslims belonging to the Ahle Sunnat Wa Jamaat, Meelaad was accepted and done by
all, every Musjid celebrated the Eid-Meelaad-Un-Nabi [SAW], Shabb-e-Baraat, All
Muslim was aware of the importance of the Mi’raaj-Un-Nabi [SAW], some 10,000
Muslim became the disciples of His Eminence, unfortunately
to
day Deobandies, Wahabies, refuse to Celebrate the mention festivity, and call
those of Ahle Sunnat Wa Jamaat Bid’ati Jama’at, Allah better Know,
Jazaak
Allah,
