ABOUT US
The Sunni
Muslim Organisation is a registered charitable and non-profit making
organisation which has been serving the Muslim community since June 1998. Its
main aim is to promote Islamic, Academic and Technical education. The Sunni
Muslim Organisation is also affiliated with the Sunni Darul-Uloom Mohammadiya
of Mumbai, India.
By the grace of Allah, the organisation opened an Islamic Centre known as
the Flacq Islamic Centre at Central Flacq where Islamic, Academic and
Technical courses were given. In November 1998 boys were given boarding
facilities, even though some were college students. The latter would go to
school during the day and would study Qur’aan and other Islamic subjects in
the Flacq Islamic Centre for only about one hour after Fajr Salaat and
Maghrib Salaat. Till date Alhamdulillah we have been successful in our effort
and now these very college students can perform the Salaat-ul-Jumu’ah, Eidein,
Janaazah prayer, among others as Imam.
